Why Our Editors Picked This Deal

Large dog dental care adds up quickly, which is why pet owners stock up whenever the 15-count box of Wellness WHIMZEES Extra-Large chews hits a steep discount. At $25.99 on Amazon down from the standard $39.50 list price, this 64-ounce bulk box brings the per-chew cost down to roughly $1.73. For dogs weighing 60 pounds or more, these VOHC-accepted chews offer a reliable mechanical clean without resorting to synthetic fillers. Manufactured in the Netherlands, WHIMZEES are formulated with six primary vegetarian ingredients, including potato starch and malt extract. The grooved shapes fit securely between paws, allowing powerful chewers to grind down tartar along the gumline. While no chew replaces veterinary cleanings, these provide a low-fat, grain-free option that keeps high-drive dogs occupied longer than conventional rawhide alternatives.

Things to Consider

Trade-Offs & Drawbacks

3 Cons
  • Very hard texture may risk chipped teeth in aggressive or senior chewers
  • High starch content can cause loose stools if introduced without acclimation
  • Only 15 treats per box means daily feeding exhausts the pack in two weeks
Unfiltered limitations reported by authentic buyers

What Verified Amazon Buyers Say

Owners of large breeds praise these chews for effectively reducing bad breath and surface tartar without upsetting sensitive stomachs. Critics note that extremely aggressive chewers can break off large chunks quickly, posing a mild choking risk if unsupervised, and several buyers mention the treats dry out if the box is left open.

The Editorial Verdict

At $25.99, this WHIMZEES 15-pack is an exceptional value for owners of dogs over 60 pounds. It delivers proven mechanical cleaning and clean ingredients well below typical pet-store pricing, making it an easy add-to-cart recommendation.
